For a Better Broward Sheriff's Office

Democratic Candidate for Sheriff

Thank You
To the 23,539 voters who supported me in my campaign, and the volunteers who turned out at the polls to encourage people to support the campaign, I thank you. We tried to bring issues forward that are important to the residents of Broward County and the Broward Sheriff's Office employees. I hope that some of these ideas will eventually find their way into BSO. Thank you for your support.
God Bless,

AL POLLOCK'S VISION FOR THE BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE
ELECT AL POLLOCK
BROWARD COUNTY SHERIFF
The Broward Sheriff’s Office touches the lives of everyone in our county. The spectrum of services and support provided by BSO affects schools, neighborhoods, roads, traffic, legal system, airports, seaport, mental and health care services, and other aspects of our society. Most importantly, it affects you and your family.
While BSO does not serve all communities in Broward, it does answer to all residents and should be the beacon of outstanding law enforcement, fire-rescue, and detention services in our county. BSO must serve and protect by providing the most responsive, thoughtful, deliberate and comprehensive services within our county, while also working cooperatively with other local, state and federal agencies to fulfill our mission.
Yet, in the past several years, BSO has failed to live up to its obligations. Leadership has not provided a vision of excellence. Cronyism has crept into the ranks and kept good and experienced people from rising to their highest potential. Resources and support have been withheld due to lack of experience, knowledge or pettiness. BSO has not built solid alliances with neighboring and national law enforcement agencies to foster trust and cooperation.
BSO is broken.
With your support, we will repair BSO's operations, strengthen its people, improve the morale, and provide the high-quality law enforcement, fire-rescue, and detention services that Broward County deserves. Drawing on my 40 years of law enforcement experience – from serving as a deputy sheriff on road patrol to command staff – and leading teams of dedicated, smart and resourceful people, I am confident and optimistic that we can bring positive change to BSO.
With your support, we will.
